Davina Amiri, Attorney

Davina Amiri is a transactional attorney, focusing on Entertainment/Media, Technology, Intellectual Property, and Business matters since 2006. Davina provides legal counsel to a vast breadth of business and individual clients in software, media, talent, management, production, skin care, music, and film, both international and domestic. Whether providing strategic business advice or negotiating agreements, she practices at the intersection of business and legal. Davina navigates a vast array of issues for businesses such as employment, privacy, and intellectual property. Her past legal experience includes being a consultant to various top tier "AMLAW 100" law firms in their corporate litigation practice.

Davina is dedicated to providing pro bono legal services. She gives legal advice to artists through the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law section (EASL) of the New York State Bar Association and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. She is on the Board of the Iranian-American Bar Association. Additionally, She represents unaccompanied minors for asylum through the non-profit, Kids In Need of Defense.

Davina gives Copyright Law presentations in conjunction with The Center for Active Learning. Past events include, "Legal Advice for Creatives," (2012) and "It's Mine! - How To Own Your Creative Tech Property; A Practical Copyright Overview," (2013).

In 2012, Davina negotiated the distribution deal for the film "Gut" as noted by VARIETY Magazine online.

In 2013, Davina founded MusicianRights.org, an organization which promotes fair and balanced contract standards for doing business in the music industry.

Silvia Gaviria, Attorney


Silvia Gaviria represents a wide range of clients. Silvia has worked as a consultant at some of New York’s top Corporate Law Firms assisting in matters such as corporate mergers, anti-trust cases, and foreign corrupt practice act violation investigations. She has formed business entities for clients such as corporations and LLCs. She has represented clients in divorce proceedings and drafted and negotiated pre-nuptial agreements for clients before marriage. Silvia has drafted and negotiated various types of contracts and agreements for entertainment clients and inventors including but not limited to production agreements, development agreements and management agreements. Silvia focuses most of her time and expertise in real estate where she helps clients from the inception through the closing of the real estate purchase process. She represents clients in all boroughs, Westchester and Long Island with the purchase of condos, cooperatives and single and multi-family dwellings.

Silvia Gaviria worked in the not-for-profit sector before entering the field of law. She has remained active in the public sector by volunteering for probono work throughout her legal career. She has represented low income women in New York City in divorce proceedings for the non-profit, Her Justice (formerly InMotion), she has also volunteered her legal services to KIND (Kids In Need of Defense) and helped unaccompanied minors requesting asylum.

Silvia obtained her Bachelor's Degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she majored in Forensic Psychology and graduated Magna Cum Laude and attended Hofstra University School of Law, where she graduated from in 2004. Silvia is admitted and in good standing to the New York State Bar and she is fluent in Spanish.
